Faith
Here is a phrase that I have been mauling over and over in my head. I think God put it there...anyways, it has been changing my perspective on things, especially the way I see my faith. (The great thing about the God's Revelation is that it shows the hard truth). Oh, duh I forgot to stay the phrase. "If your going by what you can see, then it is not faith that is leading you." OUCH!!!! God why do you have to say that? Two verses that go with this:
-
Hebrews 11:1-2 What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see. [2] God gave his approval to people in days of old because of their faith. (NLT)
-
The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God, this faith, is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It's our handle on what we can't see. The act of faith is what distinguished our ancestors, set them above the crowd. (Message Remix)
-
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. (NIV)
-
2 Cor. 5:7 That is why we live by believing and not by seeing. (NLT)
-
It's what we trust in, but don't yet see that keeps us going. (Message Remix)
-
We live by faith, not by sight. (NIV)
-
Aaaaaaaaaaaaah...God's Revelation is sooooo good (Then again it's hard to digest, hence the reason why it has taken me umpteen years to figure it out).
