Another Misconception

Misconception...Homosexuals are defined by their behavior or a Homosexual can not be a Christian
Truth...Homosexuals are defined by their sexual orientation, not their behavior. It is obvious that most homosexuals practice homosexual sex. However if I went out and had sex with another man that would not automatically make me a homosexual. If I wanted to know whether or not I was a homosexual I would simply have to answer one question. Who do I get aroused by, men or women? For me this is obvious, I am definitely a heterosexual. Does this automatically make me not a sinner? Of course not. It is the same for both the Heterosexual as well as the Homosexual: sin does not occur unless an act occurs; therefore a homosexual is not automatically a sinner.
In fact any homosexual can repent their actions, receive Christ and still be a Homosexual. Granted, God can also heal their orientation to make them a Heterosexual. Thanks Joni for pointing that out. However let's not forget that everyone's faith in Christ is not at the same level, and for some reason or another God may choose not to heal him or her in that way, or even right away. True people need to make judgments every day, and it is not the same as condemnation, however Christians need to learn to stop making hasty generalizations, which may hurt their ministry.
As to my vocabulary issues, though it started out as derogatory, many homosexuals have been proud to be referred to as Queer and even prefer the term. Have you herd of the show "Queer Eye for a Straight Guy?" Who knows, perhaps my use of the vocabulary was somewhat premature, or perhaps not.
