School Stuff

No more Owens for this semester, and I can't wait for the Montessori school to be out. I don't think I will be going to Owens next semester. I want to get some kind of certificate for when I get out of college, so I can support myself with out requiring offerings from God's people. That's the way God has been leading me. Anyways, I'm thinking about something in mechanics. Then maybe I can also learn a thing or two from Sarah's dad. He rebuilds transmissions and alternators for a living. Perhaps I could get some experience with that. Of course this would mean going back to school in the fall. Maybe there is still some openings for the spring. I don't know, but you never know. I just hope my youth ministry degree isn't obsolete by the time I'm ready for MV. I guess that's something else to look at. Then again, if that goes obsolete then I could always go to Naz Bible College. Perhaps some of my classes would transfer.

Parental Problems

Life is tough. My parents are breaking up. Mom says its God's will, but it seems to me like she is putting up walls that should not be there. Yesterday, I told her that I wasn't going to move with neither her nor dad. After church she said that she had been shocked at first, but now understands because it's God's will for her not to live with anyone. Right now I'm just very angry, but there is also God's peace because I told me that even if others don't know what they'er doing, He still does. Despite the present he has plans. So, life really sucks sometimes. I asked Double-D if I could move in with them. Of course that's really far away from Gold Star. My next choice is the Sullies, but I don't know how I would do living with Heife and Tinky Winky. I wouldn't want to start hateing some of my best friends. It's closer to the Gold Star though, so I could still do night walks.

Jedi VS Sith AKA The Church VS Satan

In the newest Star Wars epic (episode III) Anakin Skywalker has a discussion with Senator Palpatine discussing the differences and similarities between the two major powers in the galactic world: Jedi and Sith. In this discussion, Palpatine the enemy, tells the truth, but uses in a twisted way to lure Anakin into a trap, the Sith and the Jedi are both similar in their quest for more power (my paraphrase). However, Anakin responds to him that the jedi are selfless and only use their power to do good for others (again my paraphrase). What a great illustration. Perhaps they should have used that in The Message: Remix (Luke chapter 4 or 5?) when Jesus was being tempted in the dessert (just a suggestion). Jesus was called to the same selfless acts, but Satan wanted Jesus to give himself up to people. Imagine Jesus' power on the side of evil (how terrible), but he decided to be selfless. This is what he calls us to, and yes we are in a battle, an epic. Good versus evil and Jedi versus Sith, where those stuck in the middle don't know that there is a war going on. We are to be the selfless Jedi taking on the powers of darkness, the Sith, with a love that can not be destroyed. This of course cannot be done without the Holy Spirit acting as an empowering agent in our lives. That is why Jesus ascended, because I was going to come in the form of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost as in Acts chapter 2. Who is called to save the world, people who die to themselves, becoming self less by the blood of Jesus Christ, by his Grace, and through faith: in other words Christians! However heinous that may sound. If that is what a Christian is, that is what a Christian is commissioned to do.
